Dear Prospective Families,

Welcome to St. Basil School in Vallejo. This year especially, we give thanks to our Diocese of Sacramento, our Pastor, our faculty and staff, families, and most importantly, our students. At SBS, we partner with our families and the parish community to provide the children an enriching education filled with rigorous academics and continued spiritual development in an environment that promotes social and emotional growth.

We have solid teachers and staff dedicated to their Catholic faith and eager to serve another year with strong academic growth. We are blessed to have a strong Catholic School Advisory Committee (CSAC) that is growing and continues to provide direction and goals based on our school Mission. Our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) comprises a talented team of parents who drive our fundraising and community events and are ready to help our new families feel welcome and informed. When many are struggling to feel a connection with their community, we respond with love and meet your needs in a meaningful way. Whether you need before or after-school care, a little extra communication, or financial support in covering the cost of tuition, you belong here.

As we journey through your child’s educational experience, I welcome you to be an active partner in the whole child’s development. We foster character development through our Virtues program, Sacrament preparations, and our Service-Learning curriculum. St. Basil School teachers continually improve our curriculum through the use of data from our adaptive STAR assessment process to drive instruction on a personal level. Elementary education can be the fast-moving years in your child’s life, and we encourage you to embrace them and uniquely celebrate your child’s milestones with us.
