About our EDUCATION IN VIRTUE Program
Since 2019, All Diocese of Sacramento Catholic Schools has incorporated an educational program developed by Dominican Sister John Dominic Rasmussen, called “Disciple of Christ – Education in Virtue,” a Christian curriculum structured on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas regarding the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Simply put, Education in Virtue is an instructional program designed to teach students the habit of doing good.
Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue is more than a curriculum, it’s a way of life—the means to a happy life. The lessons provide a framework that helps all ages understand how to live a more virtuous life. With time, students begin to naturally incorporate the language of virtue within their daily life and grow as a disciple of Christ. When you learn, live, and witness in virtue, it will overflow into every aspect of life—transforming you into the best version of yourself.
